During my time at university studying computer science, I explored a wide array of projects and modules. In my fourth year, I focused on building a public bus app tailored for individuals with Down Syndrome. This app aimed to simplify tasks like reading bus schedules and aiding self-orientation using visual guides, all while providing continuous feedback to assist on their journey. The emphasis on inclusive design required a meticulous eye for accessibility, and I utilised Flutter for its cross-platform capabilities. Alongside this project, I explored modules such as Software Architecture and Design, Foundations of AI, Web App Development, and Mobile App Development.

In my fifth and final year, the focus shifted towards Machine Learning and AI, and I took on a group project that delved into the application of sentiment analysis in sports. Specifically, we investigated how it could analyse journal entries to track trends in mental wellbeing. Collaborating with Glasgow-based sports development company, Athlete Focused, we tailored our approach to their requirements, leveraging cutting-edge Natural Language Processing techniques. The project involved an in-depth comparison of various models and data-processing methods, ultimately leading us to implement a lightweight version of Google's BERT model, the most suitable choice for the client's needs. This culmination of experiences led me to graduate from Strathclyde in 2021 with Distinction, marking the end of an enriching and fulfilling journey at Strathclyde.
